Label: Suretone / Fontana

You already know we’re big fans of Buck County, PA trio Eastern Conference Champions, if you’ve been paying attention. To-date the group has two stellar EPs that are a favorite in our weekly rotation, and much of that material has found its way onto the group’s full-length debut, Ameritown.

Josh Ostrander’s nasal vocals will quickly grab your attention and lead you to some hasty band comparisons. Instead, focus on the song structure and all around kick-buttness of this group (yes, that’s an actual term music reviewers are using…well, we are). We saw these guys open for BRMC in May and before that had a chance to chat them up at SXSW. They have a great sense of humor and are be advocates of the indie music scene right now.

Eastern Conference Champions are more than a regional trophy; they are destined to be something big. Not that you should care about that. Big bands usually end up sucking when they go pro, anyway.

Great to meet a fellow fan (even though I’m the biggest fan ever). Keep the faith. There’s no such thing as too much sex, money, or ECC!
