We first wrote about BetterThanTheVan.com, a free online community connecting bands needing a place to crash when touring with kind souls offering places to stay, nearly a year ago. And since then the site has helped countless bands avoid sleeping in their tour van, parking in closed big box parking lots, or worse, being forced to give out sexual favors to the lot lizards at interstate truck stops.

The site doesn’t bring in a lot of money, but it’s getting popular enough Todd and the gang need to do some site upgrades. They’ve set up a Kickstarter project and are only $482 on their way to the $3,000 goal.
