Saint Paul band The Oh Eeks have one of those stories worth telling. Metro area musicians Johnny Park and Dan DeMuth never crossed paths until they landed in a St. Paul sober house on the same day. Yeah, a sober house. During the recovery process, the duo poured their attention into a self-produced album down in the basement.
Fast forward to July 24, and group has a fully produced full length Greater Than Magnets, which they’re dropping with a live show at Hell‘s Kitchen. So cool.
Here’s a track off the album:
MP3: The Oh Eeks – “My Dear Conspiracy”

This band is, without a doubt, my favorite band. I urge you to take a listen, you won't regret it.

Just got back from the show, and those boys F'ING ROCK! I mean seriously, talk about some good old fashioned balls to the wall indie rock. HELL YEAH! Thank's to PP for another heads up on a band I may have otherwise missed. Oh, and the album (listened on the way home), has a little less octane than the live set, but such is the nature of the studio. Very glad I picked it up.
