I am the only one who thinks OK Go puts more emphasis on making videos than writing music?

I’m just sayin…start the video to get the audio playing and minimize it. Then you tell me.

Their music suffered after their debut album, but their videos are truly awesome!

I’m actually a big fan of Damien Kulash’s writing against the RIAA, DRM and EMI, myself: https://perfectporridge.com/2010/02/24/ok-go-to-emi-youre-neutering-us/ and https://perfectporridge.com/2005/12/06/copy-protection-screws-our-fans-so-it-screws-us/

This video is wildly underwhelming. The song is, too.nnThey’re capable of making very good music, though. I really dig “A Million Ways” and “WTF.”

So, as my coworker Tim just tweeted, they’re essentially a performance troupe now?

You’re most likely right, but I applaud them for it. They are radical in their videos; how many popular videos shift images every half second? They’re always interesting and show amazing planning and creativity. I’ll bite the mediocre music in exchange for awesome choreography like this any day
