I’m in Des Moines for a funeral — thus no post yesterday — and am working remotely from the luxurious offices of Lava Row.

LR is set up in a sweet warehouse loft across the street from the Iowa Cubs baseball stadium in downtown Des Moines. I love working here for a number of reasons, one being that they’re always spinning sweet tunes for the team to enjoy in their open space workstations.

OMG sweet unboxing video for Sims’ Bad Time Zoo

Sims, a Minnesota native and member of Minneapolis rap collective Doomtree (P.O.S., Dessa, Lazerbeak, Paper Tiger, Cecil Otter, and Mike Mictlan), is set to drop his second full length album, Bad Time Zoo, on February 15, 2011.

He just sent over this unboxing video, complete with using a box cutter to mutilate the cover art to make a shark. A SHARK! Then a lion. Then a vulture!! So cool.
