New York City based Kendall Jane Meade, aka , writes songs that are part Joni Mitchell part Dusty Springfield and part Camera Obsucra, with a direct and wide-eyed tone that suggests it’s all part of life’s rich tapestry. Her first full-length record was produced by famed producer Jim O’Rourke, the title track from her second album, Dreamer’s Book, was chosen for a Starbucks compilation, and others were featured on The OC and Grey’s Anatomy. The new album, Art Project, came out [yesterday], courtesy of Meade’s own label, Red Panda Records.
